I had been told so many bad things about Washington that we decided to stay there only for an afternoon. I was really surprised. One can find a great number of museums in Washington; a bit of everything like the Spy Museum, the American Archives museum where we saw the Declaration of Independence. All the main political monuments (the Capitole, Washington Monument, the World War 2 museum, the White House and the Abraham Lincoln memorial) have been built in the same area. So it really doesn't take long to go around the city but I wasn't disappointed at all and maybe we wouldn't have enjoyed that much a longer stay there.
The sun is setting; it's time for us to go to Dulles airport where we spent the night as we had an early flight in the morning. Next stage: Florida with Miami Beach and Key West.
